apple and flowers

An apple a day keeps the doctor away......apple is one of my favorite snacks low  calorie and full of fiber and vitamins. I always wanted to take picture of water bouncing back or water droplets, so I took these shots. I used my Olympus with 50 mm macro lens

so I was kinda pleased with results and best thing was I ate the apple after...yummy!

Wide Open

As I have mentioned before this week's DPS assignment is wide open (aperture not wide angle). I was debating in between this two photos which would I submit as my entry. They were both take at f/1.8 .  I guess I leaned towards the above.

I took a quick stroll around Independence Grove today looking for a subject for this week's DPS assignment. In between takes I took these photos .

I really like the composition. Nice reflection of red on the water

my DPS weekly assignment

I am fairly new member of DPS ( Digital photography school/blog). Every week there is an assignment that we have to do if you'd like to join in the weekly contest. This help me think and be creative. Thought of sharing with you my two previous entries. Anyway there are three winners being chosen ...no prize involve though but recognition as your work will be posted in there site.


This was entry for SPRING. I thought of rain so I placed a rain boots to some plants trying to burst out.

My entry for CONVERGING LINES. This was taken at Waukegan Harbor. I really thought I have a strong chance on this but there were so many stronger contenders. Better luck next time.



This week's assignment is WIDE OPEN ( aperture in camera not the wide angle lens). I still have two days before the deadline. So please come back and see it for yourself and you'll be the judge.
