an afternoon at the park

Last Thursday we spent an afternoon at Independence Grove which is about 5 minutes drive from we live. Tara and Alex brought their bikes and enjoyed the ride. They also played in the newly built children's playground. They used up all their energies running around, chasing each other and most of all enjoyed the swing.

Its all about summer, enjoy while it last!

Just a continuation of my  summer flower series and macrophotography. I used my Canon 100 mm macro lens on these both autofocus  and manual focus

Time flies so fast, and pretty soon summer will be over. It seems that I can't get enough of these yellow flowers and I have been spending my precious  time chasing these bees just to get a decent shot.

Today I used my Canon 100 mm 2.8 macro lens and experimented on manual focusing. Being a newbie myself I thought it was rather tiring to the eyes for squinting too much. I guess there will times that manual focusing is better than AF.
