back in town

It was indeed a fun and exciting vacation, short but full of memories. I was nice to see my family and old friends back home, my native land the Philippines. Of course the highlights of my trip were
1. Attend the first Toboso family grand reunion in Ilioilo
2. escapades in Boracay- enjoyed the beach, diving and nightlife
3. spent time in Marinduque, my hometown-we were given an grand welcome by a tradition called "putong" where we were serenaded and was given crown and bouquet of flowers
4. Diving in Batangas-that was so awesome. Corals and marine life are magnificent. I will go back there in a heartbeat
5. Manila-the traffic, overcrowded malls. went to have some clean fun at comedy bars in the Library and Music Box. that was fun....

Hello again

I will be away for about three weeks...wish longer. I will be visiting the beautiful islands of the Philippines. How exciting.. I will be posting bunch of pictures as soon as I return.

some senses..

This week's DPS assignment involve all or one of the five senses. I tried to be creative. I took this picture while Alex is eating a watermelon at the same time Tara is whispering something to her ears.

here comes baby bird

here's an update... mama bird already hatches one egg. welcome to the world baby bird robin. picture may gross you out. I think he's ready to be fed.

soccer game

Last Saturday was my daughter's soccer game for this spring season. She will play again in the fall. I took a bunch of pictures and here are some of my favorite. I used my Canon 70-200 mm F/4 L lens to take this pictures.

DPS weekly assignment

This week's assignment is low light/night photography. 

I sent this as my entry for the contest.

I hang this flag in preparation to Memorial Day celebration next week and did not realize I could use it as my subject. My original plan was to take  a moon shot or silluette of trees with the moon in the back ground unfortunately it rained, oh well, will just to it next time

apple and flowers

An apple a day keeps the doctor away......apple is one of my favorite snacks low  calorie and full of fiber and vitamins. I always wanted to take picture of water bouncing back or water droplets, so I took these shots. I used my Olympus with 50 mm macro lens

so I was kinda pleased with results and best thing was I ate the apple after...yummy!
